Behavioral Modeling of Complex Magnetic Permeability With High-Order Debye Model and Equivalent Circuits

In this article, a systematic procedure to derive equivalent circuit networks accurately reproducing the frequency response of input impedance magnetic cores in broad range is presented. The proposed foresees represent effective complex permeability spectra core (i.e., resulting from superposition intrinsic material properties and effects due structural features core) by high-order Debye series expansion, which subsequently synthesized into suitable Foster Cauer networks. Such can be implemented any simulator, are particularly favorable for time-domain transient simulation since they easily combined with hysteresis models. Two nanocrystalline tape-wound commercial bulk current injection probe used as test cases prove effectiveness method both terms accuracy ease implementation.
